2026 Kia Sportage Trim Levels: From Budget-Friendly to Premium

Choosing the 2026 Kia Sportage as your next family vehicle is a no-brainer. Deciding on a trim is trickier. Here's what you need to know to narrow down your options.

Engine Performance and Drivetrain Options

Every 2026 Kia Sportage features a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive and terrain mode are available in the LX, EX, and SX Prestige and standard in the X-Line and X-Pro Prestige. With FWD, the Sportage gets 25/33/28 mpg city/highway/combined. With AWD, the numbers drop slightly to 24/30/26 mpg.

Technology Features and Infotainment Systems

The Kia Sportage comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display and a 12.3-inch instrument display. Navigation is optional in the X-Line and standard in the SX, SX Prestige, and X-Pro. The three lower trims include a 6-speaker audio system, while the three upper trims have an 8-speaker Harman Kardon premium surround sound system. This upgraded audio system is optional for the X-Line. Wireless phone charging is standard in all but the base LX model.

Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard in every trim. The 2026 Kia Sportage also comes standard with remote start, Kia Connect, and over-the-air system updates. You can use the Kia Access app to remotely heat or cool the vehicle in all but the base-level trim.

Advanced Driver Assistance Features by Trim

Every Kia Sportage comes with a robust suite of driver assistance features, including lane following assist, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, front and rear park distance warning, and forward collision avoidance. The blind spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, and safe exit warning are optional in the LX and standard for every other trim. Highway driving assist and navigation-based smart cruise control are optional in the X-line and standard for the SX, SX Prestige, and X-Pro Prestige. A surround-view monitor is available in the X-line and standard in the SX Prestige and X-Pro Prestige.

Interior Features Comparison

The Kia Sportage offers ample comfort. Though the LX has a 6-way manual driver's seat, you can upgrade it to a 10-way power driver's seat with 2-way lumbar support. The superior driver's seat is standard in all other trims. The LX, EX, X-Line, and SX all have a four-way manual passenger seat. In the SX Prestige and X-Pro Prestige, this becomes an 8-way power passenger seat.

Heated front seats are available in the LX and standard in all other trims. A heated steering wheel and ventilated front seats are standard in the SX Prestige and X-Pro Prestige. For a more spacious feeling, you can add a panoramic sunroof to the EX or X-Line. This sunroof is standard in the top three trims.

Choosing the Right Trim for Your Needs and Budget

The mid-level X-Line is an easy pick if you want a little of everything at a competitive price point. The Prestige-level trims are ideal for added luxury. Try out the features and functionality of the 2026 Kia Sportage in person at Montrose Kia to find out which option best suits your needs.
